You many not necessarily think of motherhood as something that can be quantified and put into a table. But for Alice Zhao, a data scientist and mother based in Chicago, data is perfect for humorously explaining the truths of our everyday lives.
On Alice's blog, A Dash of Data, she posted a series of mock graphs that show the funny side of being a mom. Inspired by her son and other fellow moms, she wrote that she made them to explain how "being a mom is exhausting, rewarding and life-changing."
Alice also blogs about other fascinating data topics like how your text messages change after having kids and The Bachelor. According to her website, she aims to mix her love for data with pop culture. "I am passionate about making complex things easy to understand, and using data science to tell fun and engaging stories," she explained.
